Q: Why did you choose to have your home LEED certified? Wouldn’t regular
green building practices suffice?

A: Many builders are willing to put green building practices into what they
are doing for the home owner. However, we found that LEED was very
comprehensive with a certification process which required accountability.
Each step in the building process is verified. The builder, architect, landscaping
architect and HVAC supplier/installer must agree and be willing to complete
the necessary paperwork verifying their purchases and/or practices which fall into
structured guidelines.
